These are wild-harvested Maitake from PA forests. I dry with air, no heat, and then vacuum seal to maintain the medicinal properties. My daughters and I are members of the Western Pa Mushroom Club and we regularly hunt and forage mushrooms together as a family. We ethically forage and believe in an honorable harvest as to not take too much. Maitake commonly grows in PA around older oaks especially those with heartwood decay- an amazing reminder of its signature and heart-healing properties.
